In a secluded deep cut of the Alps lies one of the most pristine lakes of the region. Its unspoiled beauty is forever guarded by steep limestone walls and lush alpine forest. At the opposite end of the lake, and for those who venture a short walk through the forest, a second lake with a crowning waterfall can be discovered.
(Both lakes are featured in the opening aerial scenes of The Sound of Music movie.)
