Tucked away upstairs in a corner of Schloss Leopoldskron is the “Venetian Room” - an elaborate Rococo paneled room featuring Italian-theme paintings surrounded by a decorative framework of gold leaf. The artistry is indescribable.
For many, the room may be distinctly familiar. It was in fact, the model for the “Ballroom” of the von Trapp villa in The Sound of Music movie.
For guests of the OFFICIAL TOUR, an evening at Schloss Leopoldskron comes with it’s own surprises - sometimes, breakfast is served in this room. A royal delight!
